Taddletown was buzzing yesterday as we all celebrated the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, or the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they are now known. Huge television screens were erected in the Park, and many of us gathered there to watch while others invited friends into their living rooms to gather round the TV. This reporter is not afraid to admit he got so excited watching the whole thing that he got a bit light-headed and needed some foaming potion to help him calm down.

After the ceremony, the streets were filled with street parties, some of which went on well into the evening. The biggest party was, of course, in the Square itself. There were many sandwiches, sausages, cakes, and buns. The centrepiece was a huge lemon meringue pie, big enough to feed nearly a hundred hungry Taddletowners.

We were all delighted when King Taddle came back from London and brought the Queen’s corgis with him.

The celebrations were declared to be a great success, and I am sure that we all wish the happy couple every success in their future together.

It was lovely being back in Taddletown. Seems like ages since I was here! Willow, Royal corgi

We are so pleased the street parties went well. It was nice having an event like this so we could practise for next week. Maudie Furry
